Don't let the name fool you... Milk was the drink of choice at this state park, originally the Du Pont dairy farm. At this race, you'll run the trails that make this park (home to Delaware's two oldest nature preserves) a cash cow for farm, field and forest freaks.

The 5K offers a taste of the rolling terrain, while the 12K "long-course" will show you the full lay of the land. You'll even run a stretch beside (maybe even cross) the namesake Brandywine Creek -- tempting to dairy cows and thirsty runners alike.

So kick off the 2013 XTERRA Trail Run Atlantic Series at this amazing venue -- and prepare to get drunk off the natural beauty of Brandywine Creek. 


This event is part of the XTERRA Trail Run Atlantic Series and is a great way to welcome spring and kick off the 2013 racing season! To learn more about XTERRA and series points, please visit XTERRAplanet! 

Only long course finishers can earn points towards the series and nationals. 

Course Description: 
  • Short Course: 5k
The short course will follow a rolling cross country type course over 3.1 miles of     Brandywine Creek State Park

  • Long Course: 12k
The long course will follow rocky and hilly single track through the woods for approximately five miles before letting you out on the rolling cross country course for the remaining three miles of the race.

Pre-Race course and safety announcements will be made at 6:45, 7:15, and 7:45. You must attend at least one of these announcement sessions.

Race day registration will be available from 7:00-7:45am.
Participants who register on race day may not receive a t-shirt due to limited supply

Pre-race packet pickup:
We will be hosting a pre-race packet pick up at the Delaware Running Company on Friday the 8th from 5pm to 7pm.

50% of your entry fee will be refunded until February 9, 2013. No refunds will be issued for any reason after February 9, 2013. Event entries are not transferable between persons, events, or years.
