Here in episode eight, we chat about ordering t-shirts, medals, awards, and when, and why. We also talk about how not to recycle leftovers of those items. Give us a like on Facebook and join our community if you have questions about an event you're managing.

In this episode we answer some fan questions from our Before The Line facebook community page then we talk about how and where to open registration and wrap up with some pro tips on how to promote and advertise your race.
Face the facts, you need a ton of help hosting a great event but where do you find them? What tasks do you give them? And, how much do I pay them?!
In this episode Jeremey and Jefferson talk about how they work with and obtain permissions from municipal authorities, getting insurance, and lessons learned from real emergency situations.
Whether you're starting a race with zero dollars or a million (yea we've managed a million) let's chat about setting up your budget. Jeremey Davis and Jefferson Nicholson talk about how to set up your event budget and how to use it to guide the execution of your event plans. We also get into ways to both bring in more money and save money when setting up your first race.
Jeremey and Jefferson finally got some real microphones! In this episode, we talk about the first three things you need to do to plan your race. These things are the foundation of your event in which you build your value proposition pillars on.
1. Determine the type of race you will have (road race, triathlon, run/walk, etc.) 2. Determine the location and distance of the race, and map out a course 3. Determine the event date
I got a chance to catch up with Jeremey since he was in town, Winston - Salem, producing the Rambling Rose Women's Triathlon at Salem College. We didn't stay on our planned race planning progression track but we touched on a lot of endurance event production tips, tricks, and insights as they related to the race today.
Look up my man Nic D for his music and music videos on YouTube
In episode two at least one of us now has a microphone and we're both not on the phone. Jeremey and I talk about the list of things you need to think and ask about before you start a race. In subsequent episodes we'll dive into each category and discuss lessons we learned the hard way so that you don't have to.
Like 99% of all the other endurance event directors out there we just got this Podcast started with the equipment we had available.... a couple cell phones and access to the internet. And just like our events we'll continue to improve our equipment so your audio experience will get better too. But regardless of equipment I think we drop a couple of great insight nuggets in here during our introduction episode. If you'd like us to dive into any particular subject then.... we'll make some social media profiles and an email address soon enough too ;)
